Pulse Youth Ministries values your teen's safety

To provide the safest environment possible for everyone at Pulse, anyone who attends Pulse or any of its events must have a permission slip filled out by a legal guardian. Thank you for understanding that we value each student's safety and well-being. You can download and print the form from here.

Awesome Ideas

Looking for event or game ideas? Look no further! Here's just a few we have done that are gaurenteed to have everyone talking.
If you find these helpful, please prayerfully consider donating - as these have taken a lot of time & money to prepare.

Clue Live!

The board game wasn't much fun for me, as I was an impatient child. Turn a board game into a live-action environment where you are actually IN the game - now that's fun!

Literally Locked In

Mystery games are my kind of thing - but driving 2 hours & spending $70+ for only 1 hour of fun...no way! Here's how we brought the action into our church, for less than $30.

Fear Factor

I've seen groups do this with pudding, pools, relays and races...but what about eating real bugs? Gross right? Our teens couldn't get enough bugs to eat!

Summer Olympics

It doesn't always take long to plan activities. The hardest part is organizing and getting the supplies. Luckily, we've listed all that you need for each activity to make things a breeze.

Here are some different activities Pulse has hosted for teens.

Meet The Team

Get to know the leaders of Pulse, whom the teens will be interacting with.
"Let no one despise you for your youth, but set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity." 1 Timothy 4:12

Tyler & Alex Hocraffer

Pulse Leaders

Both growing up in christian families, raised in church & attended Christian colleges, Tyler & Alex have a passion for pointing youth in God's direction through the use of His holy Word. Very happily married. They have a cat.

Our History

The year that Pulse was founded. Averaging 10 teens per night.

Before we were called "Pulse", our previous names included: "Flock", "Found & Current", & "FBC Youth".

The first year without a full-time youth pastor. Attendance dwindling down to an average of 5 teens on Wednesday nights.

Preaching the Word and trusting in God in all that we do here! "For great things have yet to come..." - Chris Tomlin.

All praise to God - we have a steady attendance of 15 teens coming to our meetings and events.

Please pray for patience & wisdom for the group as a whole as well as those leading Pulse.

Only by God's great blessings Pulse has been growing strong. We currently are averaging 25 teens each night.

Events that are normally held twice a month have had some larger than expected turnouts: breaking a record with 44 teens at once! Glory to God in the highest!

Being able to see when we make a difference in their lives. Also when things start to click and they begin asking questions - proving their curiousity, attentiveness & desire to learn more about God.
Fully understanding and being able to help in certain situations because we were raised in a church & Christian atmosphere. It's a great challenge, but also a benefitial learning experience for both parties.
Each person has a different story. It's a blessing to get to know each one and hear their stories - and then seeing how God is working (or could work) in their lives.

Fun Facts

Being a leader in ministry really adds up! Here are a few interesting things about Pulse that have happened since 2014

Latest Projects

Pulse encourages teens to step out of their comfort zones and to be examples of Christ to the community around them.
That's why we have started implementing projects. Not only does this build relationships with Christ...it teaches us how to care for God's creation.

We're sponsoring Oscar from Mozambique!

While at a Christian concert, the teens all wanted to pitch in to sponsor and help someone that is less fortunate than them. This is a huge testimony of their caring and sharing attitudes! We are blessed to help out Oscar from Mozambique. It's amazing to see both Oscar and the Pulse teens grow close to each other while yet so far apart.

Food Drives

We are continuously collecting non-perishable food items in order to show God's love to our local homeless shelter.

Community clean-up

Cleaning & teens. That may be a rare sight for you! Recently we took to the parks & streets to pick up trash that others leave lying around.

Get in Touch

Whether you have a question, comment, prayer request, answered prayer, event idea, or simply want to say "Hi" - we would love to hear from you.
